The OAA has produced a series of podcasts available to our orthokeratology community. These presentations will include interviews with experienced orthokeratologists discussing topics relevant and timely to the field of corneal reshaping. Eventually we will be making podcasts aimed at the general population as well. We are hoping to each young patients (prime orthoK candidates) in a tech-friendly manner.
Episode 1 is ready for listening. This podcast will include a discussion
about the various names we choose to describe orthokeratology and as well as
the OAA Fellowship program. It will also include an interview with Steve Ernst
from Contex.
If you aren't familiar with podcasts, they are short (30-60 minutes) audio or
video presentations that can be downloaded and stored on your computer or iPod/iPhone.
The term originated from a blending of broadcast and iPod..
Of course, you can listen to the podcast on you computer, but another benefit
is its portability. You can copy it to your iPod or other portable media player
and listen while you are running, driving, cooking or doing yardwork (yes, some
of us still cook).
